  1. For the soutzoukakia, place the bread, onion, garlic, egg, vinegar, water, salt, pepper, cumin, and ground meat in a blender and blend until well combined.
  2. Shape into 15-20 oblong soutzoukakia of the same size.
  3. Optional step for extra flavor: lightly dust the soutzoukakia with a little flour and sear in a pan with oil spray over high heat for 1-2 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the soutzoukakia to a deep non-stick baking pan.
  5. For the sauce, place the tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar, water, tomato paste, bouillon, salt, pepper, cumin, and onion in a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Baste the soutzoukakia with the sauce.
  7. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 30 minutes.
  9. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Oven settings: 180°C fan with heating elements.
  • Pan dimensions: 34x26x6cm.
  • The macronutrients do not include the rice.
