These apple pie overnight oats combine a creamy vanilla and cinnamon oat base with soft cooked apples. The recipe makes four individual 300 ml bowls, making it ideal for preparing breakfast in advance.

Directions

1. Add the yoghurt, milk, oats, cinnamon, stevia and protein powder to each bowl.

2. Stir well and spread the mixture evenly.

3. Add the apples, stevia, cinnamon, water and lemon juice to a frying pan, then stir.

4. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

5. Once the apples have softened and the liquid has evaporated, remove the pan from the heat and allow the apples to cool briefly.

6. Divide the apple topping between the bowls, seal them airtight and refrigerate overnight.

7. Optionally serve with honey and crushed walnuts.
