Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sweetener, and salt, and stir.
  2. Gently warm the protein drink, add it to the dry ingredients, and mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Add the olive oil and mix.
  4. Cover and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Using wet hands and a teaspoon, divide the dough into 35 small balls and place them on a non-stick baking tray.
  6. Spray with oil spray and bake at 190掳C for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Serve with chocolate syrup or any syrup of your choice.

Notes

  • In this recipe, 1 serving is considered to be 5 loukoumades (honey puffs).
  • Oven setting: fan assisted with top and bottom heating elements.
  • You can dip them in traditional syrup (cold). You will find the syrup recipe in my dessert book (Daktyla Kyrion recipe) or in the Galaktoboureko recipe I posted previously.
  • The macronutrients do not include the additional low-calorie chocolate syrup.
